Schooler, Nina

Biographical Sketch:
She received her PhD in social psychology from Columbia University in 1969 and spent the next two decades at the National Institute of Mental Health where she was responsible both for administering grant programs in clinical psychopharmacology and for design and conduct of large clinical trials of medications and psychosocial treatments for schizophrenia. In academic settings after that she has continued her research in schizophrenia focusing on long term treatment trials, the characterization and treatment of first episode psychosis and the development of assessment tools.
